Yacht Manufacturing Company is seeking Commissioning and Warranty Service Department Positions for our Fort Lauderdale location.

Seeking electricians, mechanics and service technicians to assist in commissioning new vessels and provide warranty service and repair work for existing clientele.

Responsible for diagnosing problems and performing complex and/or mechanical repairs on inventory vessels and privately-owned vessels, including customers’ equipment such as propulsion systems, electrical and navigational gear, and more.

Yacht Service Electrician

Ocean Alexander Yachts in Ft. Lauderdale is growing rapidly and seeking a Service Electrician to join our team.

Job Summary:

  • Inspects and troubleshoots electrical systems and equipment to locate and diagnose malfunctions, using visual inspections and testing devices

  • Locates and repairs circuit defects such as blown fuses or malfunctioning components

  • Plans layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment or fixtures based on job specifications and marine codes

  • Can read, modify and update programs using ladder logic software

  • Familiar with digital switching including programmable inputs and outputs

  • Has the ability to wire the engine room and bilge components to be both functional and cosmetic

  • Has the capability of receiving directions by reading drawings or by verbal explanation of customer needs to accomplish desired results

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of hands on experience in the Marine Industry

  • Ability to read, interpret and follow engineering prints

  • Willing and able to work 10 hour shifts as requested

  • Willing and able to wear required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) such as eye protection

  • Willing and able to lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Willing and able to stand, walk, stoop, climb, bend, crawl or reach for long periods

  • Follow proper safe handling of hazardous waste
